CBSE Invites Self-Nominations for National Awards to Teachers 2025–26 (Circular No. Acad-47/2026)

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has invited self-nominations from eligible teachers and principals of CBSE-affiliated private independent schools for the National Awards to Teachers 2025–26 under the CBSE quota. The Ministry of Education has requested CBSE to recommend six outstanding nominations for the national award.

  • Eligible teachers must have completed at least 10 years of regular teaching service by 31 March 2026.
  • Eligible principals must have completed 10 years as a teacher and 5 years as a Principal in CBSE-affiliated schools.
  • Applications will be accepted only through the online portal.
  • The last date for submitting the online application is 12 July 2026.
  • Applicants must upload all required supporting documents, including service certificates, educational qualifications, recommendations, and other relevant evidence.
  • CBSE will shortlist candidates based on academic qualifications, teaching experience, professional achievements, innovations, leadership, student outcomes, community contributions, and other prescribed criteria.
  • Shortlisted applicants will undergo document verification and an interactive session before the final six nominations are recommended to the Ministry of Education.

Schools are requested to widely disseminate this information among eligible teachers and principals and ensure timely submission of applications through the official CBSE portal.
